Russ is a second-generation agent and owner of the Girolamo Insurance Agency. Over the past 20 years, Russ had the privilege of working alongside both his dad, Russ Girolamo Sr. and his brother, Bob, who instilled the values that have been the cornerstone of the Girolamo Agency since 1962: being honest, transparent, and always putting the needs of the client first.
With over two decades of experience in the industry, Russ has expertise in both personal and commercial lines of insurance. In assessing and advising on coverage, Russ prioritizes both a detailed and comprehensive approach in determining suitability for each Girolamo Insurance client.
Born and raised in Yorktown, New York, Russ was a multi-sport athlete at Yorktown High School. It was on the playing fields where he learned the value of commitment, teamwork and perseverance, which have shaped him as both a person and a business owner.
When not at the office, Russ is deeply connected to his community. Russ continues to be involved in athletics through coaching football, basketball and lacrosse in his hometown of Somers, New York. He was previously a Board Member of the Somers Youth Sports Organization (SYSO).
Russ has also been involved with the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation for over 40 years. After being diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis at the age of 12, Russ became involved in the foundation through volunteer roles and more recently as Fairfield-Westchester Board President, CCF Teen Alliance Director and CCF Camp Oasis LIT Director.
Russ is a State University of New York at Purchase graduate and resides in Somers with his wife of 28 years, Allison, and his two children Russell III (18) and Olivia (14).
